Life Certification

Certification Program

For companies to go beyond compliance with legislation and internal review of environmental impact management programs, this tool creates a way to incorporate Biodiversity Conservation actions into businesses, regardless of the size of the operation or the business sector.

All environmental management actions carried out or currently being implemented by a company are taken into consideration during LIFE Certification auditing process. This includes environmental certifications already obtained – which can save time and money in the auditing process since LIFE Certification may contain criteria similar to those of other environmental certifications.

LIFE Certification has its own set of regulations, with legislation and environmental management programs criteria, as well as guidelines for the implementation of pro-biodiversity conservation actions, based on a methodology developed by a multidisciplinary team and consultancy services from the Paraná Technology Institute (TECPAR).

Regulamento da Certificação LIFE

LIFE Certification Regulations offer a broad set of criteria on legislation and environmental management, as well as guidelines for pro-biodiversity conservation actions.

Since LIFE Certification is a dynamic document, managed by an open and participatory entity, it will be constantly updated to incorporate improvements and enhancements. LIFE Certification Regulations updating process may include analysis to be performed by Technical Commissions (as established by LIFE Institute by-laws), or through Public Consultations.
